Compatti Care Guide
Compatti is designed for everyday food storage and brief reheating when used as directed. Follow these steps to protect the finish, lids, and patented connection system.
01 EVERYDAY CARE
Before First Use
- Separate all containers and lids before washing.
- Wash with warm water, mild dish soap, and a soft sponge.
- Rinse and dry every piece completely before connecting or storing.
02 CONNECTION
Connecting and Carrying
- Use each piece separately or connect pieces only at their intended connection points.
- Align pieces before pressing them together. Never force a connection that is not lined up.
- Confirm every lid and connection is secure before lifting. Support larger builds from underneath.
- Separate pieces gently at the connection points. Do not twist, pry, or pull from the lid.
- Disconnect pieces before washing or microwaving.
03 LIDS
Closing and Transporting
- Keep the rim clean, then press around the lid until it is seated evenly on every side.
- Keep Compatti upright when carrying liquids, dressings, or thin sauces.
- Do not overfill. Leave enough room for the lid to close without pressure from the food.
04 CLEANING
Dishwasher and Hand Washing
- Compatti containers and lids are top-rack dishwasher safe. Place pieces separately on the top rack.
- Use a standard wash cycle. For the longest product life, avoid sanitize cycles and high-heat drying.
- Air-dry completely before reassembling or storing.
- Use only nonabrasive sponges. Steel wool and abrasive cleaners can damage the finish.
05 MICROWAVE
Brief Reheating Only
Compatti is intended for brief reheating, not cooking. Always disconnect the single container you want to heat and remove its lid.
- Begin at 50 percent power and reheat in short intervals. Stir and check the food after each interval.
- Microwave wattage varies. Stay nearby and stop heating as soon as the food is warm.
- Do not use Compatti to melt cheese, butter, chocolate, oil, or caramel by themselves.
- Foods high in fat or sugar can become extremely hot and may distort or permanently damage a container if overheated.
- Never microwave an empty container or allow food to boil dry.
- Use care when removing the container. Both the food and the container may be hot.
06 STAINING
Stains and Odors
Compatti is not guaranteed to remain completely stain-free. Deeply pigmented or oily foods, especially when heated, may leave some discoloration. In our real-food checks, any remaining discoloration was minimal, but results may vary.
- Rinse promptly after use, then wash with mild dish soap and a soft sponge.
- Do not use abrasive powders, steel wool, or harsh cleaners to remove a stain.
- Allow the piece to dry completely before deciding whether a mark remains.
07 INSPECTION
When to Stop Using a Piece
Stop using a container for food if it becomes warped, cracked, bubbled, blistered, rough, peeling, or no longer closes properly. If you are unsure whether a mark is staining or physical damage, stop using the piece and contact Compatti with a photo.
08 OTHER HEAT SOURCES
Where Compatti Does Not Belong
Never use Compatti in a conventional oven, toaster oven, air fryer, on a stovetop, under a broiler, on a grill, or near an open flame. Avoid cutting directly inside a container or using sharp utensils that may score the surface.
